1. Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. DanceSync operates as a local utility on your device.

The app has no backend database and no user accounts managed by us. All functionality related to music streaming is authenticated directly with third-party providers (Tidal).

2. Device Permissions

To function, the app requires access to certain hardware features:

Camera: Used solely to record your dance practice videos. These videos are processed locally and saved directly to your device's photo library. We do not view or upload your videos.
Microphone: Accessed to facilitate the recording session framework, but audio is explicitly disabled during recording to prevent copyright infringement (Silent Recording). No audio is recorded or transmitted.
Photo Library: Used to save the final video file to your device.

3. Third-Party Services

Tidal

DanceSync integrates with Tidal to provide music streaming. When you log in to Tidal within the app:

Authentication is handled directly via Tidal's secure OAuth flow.
We do not see or store your Tidal password.
We store a secure access token on your device to maintain your session.
Use of Tidal is subject to the Tidal Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

Since we do not collect data, we have no data to retain. If you delete the app, all local settings (such as theme preferences or cached tokens) are removed from your device immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
